Dear John,

There are many books I loved to read and there are many good authors out there. But when my best friend bought one of your books “The Fault in Our Stars” and she lent it to me. You just can’t imagine how thankful I was that she actually bought that book after I finished it.

TFiOS is one of my favorite books. It’s sharing the first place in my ‘top five best books ever read’ with the Harry Potter saga. The Perks of Being A Wallflower used to be on the first place, but after I read TFiOS it went down to the second place.

There are so many things about TFiOS that made me fall in love with it, but let’s not talk about that. There are way too many things I love about it and my English is way too bad, since I am a fifteen year old Dutch girl who is learning English at school. (I’m already proud of myself that I decided to read TFiOS in it’s original language.)

I always wanted to write a book myself, but now, after I read TFiOS, I should probably give up on that dream. I could write for fun of course, but I could never write a book to publish it, since I figured out my writing skills and story lines suck.
You’ve become an inspiration to me, just like J.K Rowling. Two totally different authors who write about two totally different things. I love how J.K uses her imagination to create a whole world I would have never come up with. And I love how you write a book that is so touching that it made me cry. And you can be proud of yourself for making me cry over a book.

I cried during this part:
“But I will say this: When the scientists of the future show up at my house with robot eyes and they tell me to try them on, I will tell the scientists to screw off, because I do not want to see a world without him.”

And my heart broke after this one:
“Augustus Waters died eight days after his prefuneral, at Memorial, in the ICU, when the cancer, which was made of him, finally stopped his heart, which was also made of him.”

Well I can tell that those were the two most touching part in my opinion since my eyes were full of tears and my heart was actually aching when I read them. And I swear to god, I wish I will ever write a book as good as TFiOS. Because this book will be legend, just like Harry Potter. And I hope when I have kids that they will read this book one day and cry about the same parts as I did.

There are so many things I would like to say, but I think that’s not very important at all. Since this is about you and not about me.
I just want to thank you for writing this book. It somehow makes me think differently about life. And every time I read a quote from TFiOS, it keeps touching me. No matter how many times I read it over and over again. It will always be touching.

I just want you to know that I am definitely going to read all your books(I’m currently reading Paper Towns. Love it so far!) and I hope you will write many more.
It’s a gift to write books like this, and I hope you will be using that gift for a very long time.

To the blog creator, might I inquire about how will you deal with junk posts?
I’m sure looking to pay up just for information in order to resolve it!
