The Kidney That Was In 3 People – And Other Amazing Science Things

by on December 27, 2013

My AMA is running right now: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1ttwf9/i_am_hank_green_cohost_of_vlogbrothers_mental/

In which Hank discusses some of the coolest things he's learned while answering people's questions about the world. Often times, I have to say, these questions start out with "This is probably a stupid question, but..." when really, any curiosity is good curiosity...and people who expect all people to know all things are the real idiots.

You can see all of my Tumblr Science Asks here: http://edwardspoonhands.com/tagged/science-asks Thanks to Geneva for categorizing them.

What? A kidney re-transplant? That is cool. Do you have links to the story? Further documentation? FYI, I am working on developing a kidney donor app – http://ajaban.com/index.php/blog/article/kidney-app and also dealing with the issue of altruistic donation vs. compensated donation. The fact that the kidney becomes the property of the person whose body it was put into is interesting. I wonder if that was contractually negotiable beforehand.
