John and Chris Meet in the Middle

Join The Art Assignment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9lpMFPEj58

In which John Green and his best friend Chris go to rather extreme lengths to meet in the exact midpoint between them.

The rules:
1. Pick a friend.
2. Determine the exact midpoint between the two of you. You can use http://geomidpoint.com to help you out.
3. Agree to meet there at a certain time.
4. Once making the agreement, don't communicate until you meet in the middle!
5. Document the meeting and share it if you want on YouTube, twitter, tumblr, whatever with the hashtag #theartassignment.

Thanks to my friend Chris for being in the video! You can follow him on twitter: https://twitter.com/wategi

I am again finding myself exploring the internet in new ways all because of John and Hank Green’s recommendations. I have read books (which I have loved) because of John’s suggestions, I have found fun and exciting video bloggers, and now The Art Assignment has given me such a thrill with fun activities that push me to jump out of my comfort zone and get moving towards adventures that are creative and thought provoking. I love the intelligent and limitless access to new thoughts that the Vlogbrothers provide. Thank you.
I was still immersed in my plans for the first episode of The Art Assignment when “BAM” I am hit with a new assignment. I am feeling like I am falling behind in my school work! No procrastinating allowed. I have also loved seeing the postings of other’s adventures as they finish their assignments. (John/Chris your trip to the middle was fun to follow.) But being able to join others in their travels has been so heartwarming. It does make you wonder who each of us could trust to hold the other half of your tuba. It takes a special person.

I love this idea! So many friends are scattered after high school and college and moves. I’ll be doing this this sumer when I get a break from the day job!
