Come SOMEWHERE in the Midwest? Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, or Missouri would be really appreciated.

Reply

Kristina January 11, 2012 at 6:32 pm

Or even better Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana…. But really ANYWHERE in the midwest would be better than nowhere.

I agree with Abbie (Dec. 3) Somewhere in the Midwest would be great! My daughter is a HUGE fan and I’ve been researching airfares for her to go see you, but can’t afford it and pay her college tuition, too…

It would be so delightful if you could, at some point, come to Toronto! I know both you and Hank are unceasingly busy, but I know of many Canadian nerdfighters who would be overjoyed at a chance to meet you both (including myself)! Best wishes and DFTBA from Canada. :)

Is there any chance of you guys coming down to South Florida? I know it’s a bit out of the way, but it’s a suggestion. There’s a great indie bookstore called Bookstore in the Grove in Coconut Grove.

Colby December 4, 2011 at 7:05 pm

GO TO KANSAS CITY. NOW. Please? :)

Reply

Julia December 4, 2011 at 8:16 pm

Somewhere in the midwest would make my life! pleeeeaaaaase, I suggest Missouri and preferably KANSAS CITY. But even somwhere larger like Chicago could work. January is my birthday month and this would be a beautiful present… just sayin :) (I wrote my college application essays about Looking For Alaska and watch vlogbrothers videos every week. this event would be a dream come true since vidcon is a bit expensive as far as travel goes…)
Keep calm and DFTBA!

Colby December 4, 2011 at 10:57 pm

YES! Kansas City.
I must meet the great writing guru that is John Green.

Jenna December 9, 2011 at 9:34 pm

I have no idea if you’ve ever watched “The Big Bang Theory,” but it’s one of my favorite TV shows. In the show, the character Sheldon Cooper forever holds a grudge against Wil Weaton for failing to come to a science fiction convention in Sheldon’s hometown when Sheldon was young. I mention this to say that if you do not come to Kansas City, I will forever hold a grudge against you. Okay, not really. But you should come to Kansas City! I’m a huge fan and a fiction writer, and your writing really inspires me. It would really make not only my day, but my whole year if you came to Kansas City. Or even St. Louis would be acceptable. I’m sorry for being an annoying begging person. I just love you and Hank so much I can’t help it.
DFTBA!

Colby December 11, 2011 at 12:41 am

Yes! I saw that episode the other night.
And I fully agree with everything said here, except that St. Louis would be an acceptable place for you to go instead of Kansas City.

Dear John and Hank,
I just started looking at this site today and have fallen hard for the nerdfighter community (I travel to the Dork [pun, not meant to be offensive] Side for the PI, and how sictastic your causes and humor are!).
I know you’re going to Massachusetts in January, and I was rather hopeful you might be able to stop by Connecitcut to East Hampton High for a bit. In one day, stumbling upon this site and your vlogs, I have found one of the only places to realize my eccentricity and sarcasm (besides Tobuscus, but I feel this is far more interactive).
Although it would be much obliged if you could come, I understand if you can’t, and regardless, I’m going to clock in everyday to see what you have new on this site. I’m actually doing a piece on the Decrease Worldsuck Foundation for a homework assignment as well, and I’d like to say that what you are doing is amazing (because I’m too astounded to contemplate larger more flattering words that would equate to how highly I view your actions as individuals).
As an aspiring writer, dilligent nerd in more subjects than worth counting, die-hard music listener and eccentric extraordinaire, I’d like to say, “Live Long In Prosper” (because that’s the first thing I think of when I see the Nerd Fighters symbol).
Ceud mile taing,
Sean

You should come to Columbus, Ohio. There’s a bookstore here called the loft that has 32 rooms, and each room has a different genre/theme. It’s magnificent. If nerdfighteria were a place, it would be the loft.(http://www.bookloft.com/index.htm)

Seriously, though, John — you have to come to Florida. One of your novels is based in Orlando, Florida. It’s symbolic. Fans from all over Florida would make the commute.

If I told you it was my birthday TODAY could I somehow magically, miraculously, get tickets to the Raleigh event?! …or really, does anyone know how likely they are to release more tickets closer to the event?

Reply

Ferd December 24, 2011 at 4:32 pm

It turns out that I’m working on January 31st which is when the tour will be stopping in VANCOUVER. This means that I have a ticket to the event which has been sold out. Let me sadness bring joy into your life.

Please email me if you want: ferdinanddemara@gmail.com

I agree with the midwest. Indiana, close to home! however i am assuming there are more dates to come etc. Anywho i recently got my younger crowd of friends hooked on your books, as i read what was out in highschool, enjoyed them, and now they are doing the same. Hoping you will be in Missouri or Indiana so they too can experience the magic of your book tour… and for selfish reasons it annoys me that i have all of your books and only one of them is unsigned. So midwest it up!

I was all happy today that I was going to buy my ticket to the Santa Monica event until I saw those hateful words SOLD OUT on it. If anyone has an extra ticket to that event and are will to sell it, I’ll gladly buy it

Raviv Genosar January 3, 2012 at 11:18 pm

Hello John,
My daughter and her friend (age 16) really want to meet you in Atlanta on January 15, but we can’t get tickets at the Little Shop of Stories- they sold out, but handed 150 tickets to the colleague for distribution, yet has no idea if they had been sold!?
Can you somehow help us to purchase 2 books and come to the event? three great reasons: The girls will be very happy, I’ll be the best Dad and you’ll be our hero!

Much appreciated,
Raviv
